Winter Reading: December 1 - January 31 - We're on a quest to find the Yeti, and maybe some of his friends along the way! Track your reading through December and January for fun and prizes. Pick up a reading log at any Sweetwater County library to start your journey.

Reading Dragon Coloring Contest: Design a dragon to be our newest Reading Dragon Card and you could win an afternoon at the library and work with Miss Becky and turn your design into a card! Contest is open to youth in Kindergarten - 12th grade. Contest runs November 1 - December 16.
StoryWalk: It's a fun and educational family activity that you can enjoy in the fresh Wyoming air! Take a stroll and enjoy a children's story along the way. This December enjoy Yetis Are The Worst by Alex Willan. The StoryWalk is located on the Barbara Carroll Memorial Parkway at the Green River Recreation Center.
Teen Trivia: Every time teens visit the library they can try our bubble machine for the chance to be a winner! Exciting new trivia every month!
Side Quests - Yeti Edition: Complete a quest and collect a prize. Search for the elusive smiling Yeti to win BIG. For all ages!
Month Long Drop in Events at the Rock Springs Library: December 1 - 31
Coloring Contest: Unleash your inner artist and help us decorate our very brown walls! Complete a coloring page and turn it in to brighten up our space and possibly win a prize!
Read Your Height: School is back in session, and that means one thing - Read Your Height is back! The librarians at RSL are racing against the school year to read their height in book spines. Will you join them? You can grab a reading log any time the library is open from now until the end of school.
International Santa Scavenger Hunt: The Santas are hiding all over Downtown Rock Springs. Stop by the library to pick up your scavenger hunt sheet, then bring it back for a small prize. All scavenger hunt sheets returned by December 19th will be entered to win a 'Christmas Around the World' prize.​
Quest: There are side quests at the library just waiting for you to take them. Choose your quest at the Youth Desk to try and win (you'll always win) a prize.
Winter Solstice Kits: Available Starting December 16 - Let us help you shine a bit of light on the longest night of the year. Kits will have everything you need, except water, to create a beautiful water luminary. This project does require dry time, so make sure to grab yours early in the week so it's ready for the Solstice. Kits will be available in Youth Services on a first come, first serve basis.

Snowman Craft: The weather outside may be frightful, but that just means you should come inside and make a fun snowman craft in the warm library.
Christmas Scavenger Hunt: 'Tis the season! Go on a festive Christmas Scavenger Hunt through the Youth Department.
Candy Guessing Jar: Love candy? So do we! Can you guess how many pieces we have in our Candy Guessing Jars?
What Brings You Joy?: We're feeling extra joyful this season. What brings you joy? Let us know on our Post It Note Board.

Author Spotlight: This month we're highlighting author Jan Brett with a 'Design a Mitten' contest! Pick up a mitten at the library and take it home to create your design. Return your completed mitten by the end of the month.
Teen Grab & Go: Yarn Ornaments: Stop in and grab a kit to make Yarn Ornaments at home. Limited to 20 kits.
Who Said It?: The Grinch or Scrooge? Can you guess which famous grump said these famous quotes?
Spice of the Month: December is all about Cloves. Stop in to see information about this festive spice and pick up some recipes to make at home.
