Bring Your Own Bean Bag Movie Night

Students from the “Young at Heart Senior Center” in Rock Springs are showing their paintings at White Mountain Library during December. The exhibit titled “Over the River and Through the Woods” is comprised of 39 mostly acrylic paintings by students of Theresa Stark. The class is funded by the City of Rock Springs. Librarians are planning holiday fun for children during December. Anne Parady, Head of Youth Services at Rock Springs Library, invites children to visit with Santa Saturday, Dec. 11th from 11:00 until 1:00. Carol Aldinger’s Photo Exhibit

Carol Aldinger of Green River is showing 24 images of Paris at the Sweetwater County Library during December. The exhibit is titled “City of Light: November in Paris”. In early September 2001, the Aldinger’s found a “bargain basement package deal” for a one-week trip to Paris in November. She recounts, “Then 9/11 happened. A trio of local writers will read from their children’s books Tuesday, December 7 at White Mountain Library beginning at 7:00 p.m. Kayne Pyatt and Diana Metz of Rock Springs and Myra Peak of Green River will be available to sign books and talk about what inspires them to write and how their ideas for the books developed.

The 18th Annual Sweetwater County Library System Book Sale kicks off Wednesday, Sept. 29th at the White Mountain Library with the Early Bird Sale from 5-9 p.m. The regular sale begins Thursday, Sept. 30th at 10 a.m. and continues until 9 p.m. On Friday, the hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday’s hours are 10 to 4:00 p.m. Early Birds will pay a $5.00 donation which benefits the Library Foundat...
